Reflect & Renew

Well, here I sit and reflect on what an incredible journey we had last year with this experiment called For All the King’s Daughters.I (Angela) think about my own fears and apprehensions as I embarked on what seemed like a crazy path. A path that continually enveloped more and more women who joined the adventure and used their voice to share of Jesus’ influence in their lives.  Furthermore, this collective coffee date became an avenue for even more women to hear they are not alone and be encouraged to keep walking out their faith in their own context.

If you are just joining in on this round of the adventure, let me first say, “Welcome, friend!” Feel free to grab a cup of your favorite beverage and journey with us through our second year of weekly posts. Let me introduce us as a collective of over 30 women from over 17 countries and 4 continents who deeply love Jesus and His Word. We are women created in the image of God first and foremost who seek to glorify Him by using our pasts, presents, and future hopes to encourage other women to know that their stories are important as well. We are business owners, nurses, ministry leaders, teachers, wives, moms, lawyers, managers, grandmothers, friends, neighbors, sisters, sinners and survivors but we are all daughters of the King of kings.

We are thrilled to have you with us and we are anticipating the Father using these posts to encourage you as you stand in His grace and love then run the race that He has given you. You are not insignificant, you are not alone, you are not forgotten, but you, my dear friend are incredibly gifted by God to accomplish a unique purpose in this world and this time in history. If you have wounds in your past or present, welcome to the group. If you are presently experiencing loss and heartache, welcome to the group. If your heart is stirring with the anticipation of something new, welcome to the group. Whatever age, stage, past or present circumstances you find yourself in today, welcome to the group.

2018 was a year that we sought to continue to encourage women to find their place, wholeness and joy in Jesus. I (Angela) shared with you my awakening to the glorious sight that the Bible describes in Psalm 45 where the bride is originally pictured of a hosts of daughters dressed in various colored robes all with a gold thread running through them. By the time the bride reaches her handsome groom, she is only seen as one beloved bedecked fully in the most exquisite gold gown. This passage of scripture stopped me in my tracks for a while as I marveled at the diverse group of women the Lord created and all of us in our various skin tones, accents, ethnic heritages and how He wove His gold thread of His Spirit in us. As we continually live and love out of our love for Him, we become the radiant Bride who will one day stand next to our beautiful Groom, the Beloved of our souls, Jesus and He will see us as pure as gold.

This year, we will renew our commitment to beat the drum for the call to join hand in hand with God’s daughters all over the world and grow in our love of Jesus together. Our focus this year is a passage of scripture found first in Deuteronomy 6:4-6and then restated by Jesus in Matthew 22:37.

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

Dear friend, I believe that the good news of God (that He sent Jesus, His only Son to be our rescuer by His death and resurrection and we receive salvation through faith alone in Jesus) is a holistic message. Meaning that our relationship with Jesus Christ transforms every area of our lives. I believe that is what God was teaching the people through Moses’ words in Deuteronomy 6:4-6 and what Jesus lived and taught then recorded on the pages of the New Testament.

We want to spend 2019 weekly talking through what it looks like to practically live and love God with our whole heart, whole soul, whole strength and whole mind. It’s a process we are all still walking through and we are honored to have you join us for the journey.

We are moving our publish dates to Wednesdays this year to give you a mid-week shot of encouragement and remind you that you are valued in the kingdom of God and He wants to use your story to bless those around you. Feel free to share our website with your friends and we pray that you grow in your love and knowledge of Jesus through this year!
